Better interaction on Twitter?
Posted on September 2, 2010
Are you on Twitter yet? No? Well, it’s time to get in there and start tweeting. Though I’m not on it as much as a lot of others are, I’m pretty excited about the level of interaction out there.
If you send out a tweet seeking help about, say an allergy problem, you may just get back tweets of what to pull out of your Robern Medicine cabinet to fix your problem.
Some people say that Twitter offers better interaction than Facebook? Do you think it’s true? I can’t comment as I’m not on Facebook.

Get rewarded for doing what you already do
Posted on August 31, 2010
You know, there’s enough depressing news on TV and the internet about people who are out of a job and trying to make an extra buck or two. So my thinking is that whatever makes money, no matter how little, is worth a try.
And I just found another very easy way to make as much or as little money as you want. WeReward has a cool mobile marketing campaign that allows you to make money doing the things you already do as part of your daily life.
You download the simple WeReward application onto your phone and then simply “show up, check in, take a picture and get paid”. When you show up at your favorite places to eat, play or shop, you score points just by taking a picture of yourself enjoying the food, game, etc, send it in and get paid.
There are some 15 million merchants in this campaign so you’re almost certain to find many of your favorites there. And since you’re going to eat, shop or hang out anyways, wouldn’t it be nice to be rewarded for doing something you already do anyways? I’d say so. So go check out WeRewards.com and start earning easy money!

Does the money tree work?
Posted on August 27, 2010
Business, as you know, is practised differently in different cultures. I read recently that if you place a money tree in your home, you will enjoy a never-ending inflow of cash.
That sure sounds like an exciting prospect to home business owners who, in general, are trying to balance family and work and trying to make an extra buck here and there.
Now if having that money tree is going to have money flowing in like you just turned on all of the Moen kitchen faucets in your home, wouldn’t you want to try it too?
I would but I haven’t tried it yet so I can’t vouch for how well it’s going to work out. Anyone wants to try this and let us know if it works for them

Discovering the charms of online shopping
Posted on August 25, 2010
I’m only just now getting the hang of shopping online. I love walking the malls so online shopping never quite appealed to me in that sense. I prefer to be able to touch and feel what I’m buying.
But these days, the weather is hot and I’d much rather stay home. And so I’ve started to seriously browse through sites with the intent to buy as opposed to just browsing for the sake of browsing.
And it’s interesting the things I’m learning. While I’m still hoping for fair weather to hit the mall, I guess I might just do some of my shopping online. What about you?

Banking on information from the net
Posted on August 19, 2010
So what exactly is it that I’ve been up to? If you said banking, you’re right. And no, it’s got nothing to do with me banking in a million bucks or anything like that. In fact, I’m on a really tight budget here, wish I were making more money
(don’t we all wish that!!)
I’ve been at the bank helping someone open her bank accounts, etc. She’s the friend of a friend and she’s from out of town. So I offered to help her since she’s not real familiar with how some things work around here.
For her Savings Accounts, I suggested that she check out Banktime.com which is an online banking guide with all the information she needs on everything from mortgage loans, CD rates, credit cards, home equity loans, auto financing to insurance products.
Yes, it’s a pretty comprehensive site to find out more than I can even tell her. I mean, a lot of the decisions she has to make herself and I’m only here to help answer some basic questions. Not that I know that much of financials or anything.
But with the internet, it’s so much easier for people to do their homework and decision-making, don’t you think?
