How to hold a successful event

I was invited to a formal dinner last night. It’s nice to get out every now and then. Social skills can get rusty if you work at home continuously and never get out.
It’s a good thing all it takes is a couple of sentences to get yourself up to speed again LOL. Dinner was great, had a few good laughs, made some new friends and learnt some new things.
Did you know events like these could be great opportunities for offline promotion? As I walked in the door, I was handed a box and a big white envelope. Mmm, nice surprise!
The box contained a pair of porcelain salt and pepper shakers from a fast-food chain that obviously wanted me to be reminded of their great food. The envelope contained some flyers and two sample bottles of vitamins. Another neat trick to pass along information to potential customers.
