Why aren’t my ads working? (2)

Another reason why you may not be getting the clickthrus you’re hoping for when you run your ad is your ad copy itself.

Are you convincing your audience about the features or the benefits of your product/service?

Don’t spend too much time talking about the features. For instance, telling your audience that the table you’re selling has 4 sturdy legs and is made of quality wood is not going to convince them.

For a start, everyone knows a table has 4 legs and the quality of the wood isn’t important unless they have a use for the table.

Instead tell them how your table can benefit them. People want to know how your product can make their lives easier, how you can solve their problems.

So if you tell them your table can be folded to save storage space, now that’s a benefit that might make them consider buying it.

When you’re writing your ad copy, the benefits are what will help you sell.
