If you think about it, advertising is all about telling stories, isn’t it? Tell a good story that your customer can relate to and you could soon have them eating out of your hand, so to speak.
A good story builds confidence and established a rapport with your customer. So what makes a good story, you ask? Here are two of the best selling marketing stories.
Story #1: We make your life easier.
Think about this for a minute. How often have you gone to the stores and returned home with something you bought just because the promoter had convinced you about how the product could make your life easier?
Sure you’ve been sold on this story lots of times. After all, who wants to toil and sweat when here’s something that will save you the effort and make things easier.
Story #2: We can solve your problems.
You have roaches in your house? No problem, we’ve got just the thing to rid your house of these nasty critters forever.
You want to make sure your business runs smoothly. No problem, we have just the right computer for you. It’s fast and it’s reliable.
Would stories like these make you buy, you think? Sure! Everyone has problems and they’re all looking for ways to get around those problems.
