Establishing a routine work schedule

I have a list of things that I need to work on every day, which I’m having trouble finding time to do right now. One of them is networking and the other is the routine stuff like backups and administrative tasks.
I’m drawing up a rough work schedule to allocate chunks of time to perform these tasks. Right now, this schedule is looking very much like a jigsaw puzzle with all the pieces strewn around but not in their correct places.
It’s going to take me a while to finetune this schedule into something that will become part of my daily work routine. I’ve done this before but I’m not really good with sticking to routines, and inadvertently I would fall behind and abandon my schedule altogether.
This time, I’ve really got to make it stick. As my business grows and my to-do list gets ever longer, I’ve just got to discipline myself. How about you? Do you have a work schedule that you follow through methodically each day?
