The stress of being your own boss
Posted on October 5, 2007 | Comments Off
People think that if you have your own home business, you’re free as a bird. You can work when you want to. And if you wake up in the morning and decide you want to take the day off, you can go right ahead.
You don’t have to apply for leave and you don’t have to worry about what the boss might say. You start work when you like and finish when you like. There’s no one to answer to.
It must be a dream job. Yet a dream job too comes with stress of its own. Because if you don’t work, you don’t get paid. Pure and simple!
You look at your web traffic, your backlinks, your income at the end of the month and you wonder if you could’ve promoted farther, networked better, saved more.
You have bills to pay, admin tasks piling up, ads to write, promotional campaigns to plan. You worry you’ll never get everything done!
You may not have to endure the stress of a boss over your shoulder but you still have to deal with the stress of being your own boss.T
