Posted on October 7, 2007 |
You’re in business. Great. Do you have a business plan or are you just managing things on the fly? It’s tempting to not have to sit down and think about what you want to do in the next six months. Who needs the extra work anyways?
But it’s good to do some high-level planning at least, even if you don’t have the time or inclination for the nitty-gritty. Let me tell you, it’s really worth your time to sit down and work out a rough plan.
- Know when the peak business seasons are.
- Think about what you want to do before and during those dates to pull in maximum sales.
- Decide how early you should intensify your promotional efforts.
- Estimate the time and resources you will need during this time.
- Look at what needs to be done in terms of web development to get your business ready to take on the volume of sales.
