On being a workaholic

Believe it or not, even those of us who are die-hard workaholics, still need to take a break. We work so hard for the most part of the year that the year-end holidays is probably the only time when we can wind down a little.
The problem for me though is that when I’m on a roll, it’s hard to apply the brakes and drop everything I’m doing even during the holidays.
I may slow down a little but I never stop completely because I always have something stashed on the backburner that I need to get to. And frankly what better time than during the holidays when everything is nice and quiet.
If I lived in the Northern Hemisphere where it’s winter now, I’d probably be tempted to grab my North Face jacket and head out to the mountains where it’s nice and cold.
As it is, it’s just too warm here so I’d rather stay out of the sun and be cooped up at home working. So basically that’s my excuse for being a workaholic
