The importance of targeting your ads

Before you go ahead and purchase advertising, you should carefully choose the medium that would target your audience best. I’m seeing many advertisers buying ads in ezines and blogs that clearly aren’t targeted at their segment.
This is a waste of good advertising money. And at the end of the day, many advertisers are finding themselves disillusioned because they’re not reaping the results they hoped to see when they chose to advertise in that publication.
I sure hope some of these same advertisers aren’t posting popup ads only to be killed by the popup blocker that practically everyone’s got installed.
