Is there is a bright side to rising prices after all?

If I thought the retail business was going to be badly hit by the recent gas price increases, I’ve just been proved wrong. I was at the mall today and the place was jam-packed.
Nobody seemed too concerned and everyone seemed to look happy enough. I’m a little puzzled here. Here I am trying to construct a cost-cutting plan and the rest of the world isn’t even bothered that we’re headed towards inflation?
Maybe I’m being pessimistic or maybe I worry too much about how our lifestyles and businesses are going to be adversely affected. Maybe I should look on the bright side and just go with the flow. What do you think?
