Too many public holidays?

I was surprised to read recently that some people complained about having too many public holidays. Are you kidding me? I love public holidays. It’s the only time I actually get uninterrupted hours to work on my home business.
But then again, of course there are certainly admin stuff that I can’t get around to simply because businesses are closed for the day. For instance, I was looking for some auto insurance quotes online. I found the information but now I have some questions and need to talk to someone there.
But since it’s a holiday, I can’t call them. Or get my banking done or go to the post office for that matter, know what I mean? So maybe those people have a point there. Public holidays are good but they can be disruptive too.
