To travel or not to travel?

In my recent blog surfing, I came across several people saying their spouses are stuck overseas after their business trips because their companies are concerned about them traveling on airplanes and being exposed and exposing others to the deadly flu.
I guess there is some genuine cause for concern here. Quite frankly, we never know who is harboring the germs as it apparently takes about a week for the symptoms to show. That’s pretty scary, if you ask me, because it means a person may appear to be perfectly healthy yet not know their symptoms are yet to show.
Some people still choose to travel on holidays in spite of this. Like some friends of mine made plans for their Vegas vacations months ago and they can’t get their tickets refunded. I guess we won’t know how long this pandemic will last so to some extent, plans still have to go on. What do you think?
