All in a day’s work – churning and whining

My computer sounds like it’s going to give up the ghost any time. The hard disk is slowing down and churning endlessly every time I boot up or shut down. I’m not sure if it’s a virus that’s causing this and if colon cleansing herbs aka anti-virus is required to clean it up. Well, I hope it’s not a virus!!
Or it could be a sign of old age which is pretty scary as well. I’ve had several hard disks die on me before over the years and I’m just lucky I have a backup each time. Man, backups are such a pain too. Okay, today is obviously not a good day. I seem to be whining non-stop.
