I was just saying the other day how great it is that there are so many parking spots for the disabled outside the grocery store where I shop. Indeed it is great that the disabled are able to have a much greater degree of independence with the help of non-profit organizations like NMEDA.

If you are or know of someone who needs assistance with vehicles for handicapped people, you should consult with an NMEDA dealer in your local area to get an in-person evaluation. The dealer doesn’t actually sell anything but they will be happy to advise you on what’s best for your particular set of needs and how to avoid being taken advantage of by some internet deals.

NMEDA also has the only nationally recognized Quality Assurance Program (QAP) for the Adaptive Mobility Equipment Industry based on the principle that in order to satisfy customers consistently, companies must have a systematic and documented approach to quality.

I can understand how difficult life can be, not only to the disabled person, but also to their family and loved ones who are predominantly the caregivers. So can you imagine what a relief it is to be able to have access to quality assistance you can trust from an association like NMEDA?

Although we don’t wear gold jewelry, I just can’t help but be fascinated by all that glittery stuff. Every time I walk by the jewelry store, the increasingly fancy designs of jewelry would call out to me and I wouldn’t be able to resist peering in through the display window.

Sometimes one of the staff would come out and ask me if I want to buy gold bars, yes, they do have tiny pendants in that shape. Very cute but I always have to shake my head and walk away. Maybe next time, I will tell myself, when I can find the occasion to wear gold.

When kids reach the crossroads, they are often undecided about what kind of careers they would like to pursue. I know my son went through a period of uncertainty as to what he wants to do after he’s done in college.

Now that the kids have gone back to school, it’s time for Mom to look up tutoring for her kids. No matter how you look at it, you know that Math word problems can be quite a challenge for kids including mine.

I’m visiting with a girl friend right now. She lives alone and loves it. There was a time she was constantly worried though about her house when she’s at work since there’s nobody there.

She was especially paranoid about leaving her home unattended with all of her precious belongings in whenever she went on vacations. She’s a regular worry wart, that’s what I always tell her, though she won’t readily admit to it.

When she told her friend about it, he suggested she compare several different household insurance types which, if you ask me, is a very good idea. I mean, why worry yourself to immobility when you can actually insure your stuff, right?

Anyhow, I’m glad she went with the idea and found the household insurance that suited her and her budget. And now, at least, she knows she’s covered in the unlikely event that, well, I probably should even finish this sentence because if she’s reading this, she’s going to be knocking on wood all day!!

Thing is we, her BFFs, now feel less apprehensive about inviting her on vacations with us. Before she used to dally so long on her decision, we practically had to give up on her .

I went to the Farmer’s Market last weekend and man, talk about a never-ending choice of locally grown fruits, vegetables and flowers. Absolutely love the burst of color.

I couldn’t resist buying lots of fruits and veggies. They are all farm fresh and so inexpensive who can resist. I love going there and am thinking of making it a weekly event.

I thought it’s the end of summer and the weather should, for all intents and purposes, be cooling down a little. But it seems the sun is still out with a vengeance and there’s no letting up and today, well, we’re going to hit the 100’s.

Not looking forward to it. I’m so going to stay indoors even if it means I’m breathing in recycled air from the air-conditioning and it makes my eyes watery and sleepy.

Are you attracted to bright, shiny things? Well, my dog is. Every time he sees something that sparkles, he barks at it excitedly and jumps around. My neighbor enjoys wearing gold necklaces because it was a gift from her husband on her birthday present. My dog happens to have good eyesight so he starts barking whenever he spots that gold necklace around my neighbor’s neck.

Maybe I should buy gold doggy bones or a collar with gold studs. He seem to like gold more than my neighbor does. I didn’t think that gold can attract a dog’s attention. If my dog was a Golden Retriever, I would have understood.
