hibernation realized
I wasn’t going to make a big deal of this. But being the die-hard mall crawler and shopaholic that I am (despite my hectic schedule, it’s amazing how I can still squeeze in the time to go to every sale in town LOL), I have to put it down on record that I haven’t left my house once in the past five days.
Incredible, isn’t it? I amaze even myself. Since Wednesday, the kids and I haven’t stepped out of the house. We’ve had all our meals at home, and just hung out at home surfing the net, watching TV, having afternoon tea…
My dreams of hibernation have come true. This is a real change from our usual CNY routine, a real nice change, in fact. We only had visitors and returned their visits all within the first 3 days of CNY, and had the rest of the time to ourselves.
I enjoyed hanging my feet up and just taking my time about everything. The phone didn’t ring. My alarms didn’t go off. Our meals were eaten slowly with lots of mandarins and laughter in between. The days were long and lazy. Hmm, it’s rare indeed that a minute chaser gets to not have to keep an eye on the clock all the time.
I’m all nicely rested and ready to face the rush again… tomorrow!! Aaargh…
