how to complain effectively
Being out and about as much as I am, I get really mad when I buy something that doesn’t work which then requires me to do a massive amount of time to get it fixed. I just don’t have the time to follow up on things like that.
If you notice, many of the things we buy these days don’t last. Things that are supposed to work don’t work. Calling the company and complaining can be a huge waste of time, especially with those whou couldn’t care two hoots about customer service or their corporate reputation.
If it helps any, I’ve just discovered some quick tips how to complain effectively, as suggested by a lifestyle guru (I forget her name, sorry). Complain effectively? Boy, has it come to such a level that even complaining has to be polished down to a fine art?
1. Present your problem clearly by giving specific details of what’s wrong with the product you’ve purchased. If you have days and dates, that’s even better. Quoting them will strengthen your case.
2. Tell them why this problem is bothering you.
3. Make some suggestion to them as to how they may help you overcome this problem.
4. Finally, tell them what consequence will take place if they fail to resolve your problem satisfactorily - something to the effect that you will take your business elsewhere in the future.
Good luck with your complaining. If you’d like to share any tips that’ve worked for you before, feel free to leave them in the comment box.
