the price of a mom?

With Mother’s Day just around the corner, this is perhaps as good a time as any to stop and wonder how much a mom is really worth?

According to this article, the price of a mom in 2007 is $138,095 a year. This is how much a stay-at-home mom would be paid if she ever got paid.

This figure is calculated based on just 10 of the jobs that a mom does. I wonder how much more we would be worth if they threw in all the other jobs we do besides.

Yet a stay-at-home mom’s job is the most important but it’s also the least appreciated. It’s a job that often seen as frivolous and requiring no mean skill.

Even if mom choses to work from home, her work or business is often seen as a temporary time filler, nothing to be taken too seriously.

And yet we know that’s so not true. This article is for all those thick-headed and unsupportive folks out there! But $138k? Well, it’s a good start, I have to admit. But we know that in actual fact, we are nothing short of priceless!
