green cleaning

I have to confess, I’m not a fan of household chores. I don’t mind doing the laundry and sweeping the floor but cleaning is my least favorite thing. Given half a chance, I wouldn’t be cleaning or scrubbing.

One of my neighbors, however, cleans homes as her small home business. Some of the families in our neighborhood contract her to do their cleaning and laundry while husband and wife are at work.

It’s amazing how she’s managed to keep her little enterprise chugging along single-handedly. Business has been brisk as more people hear about her through word of mouth. Her rates are reasonable and she does a darned good job.

One look at her and you’ll know you can trust her with your house keys, one of my neighbors told me. And it’s true, her customers trust her to work their homes while they’re away at work.

The secret of her success, I believe, is that she always goes beyond the call of duty. On days when she finishes early, she’s known to do the dishes or water the plants before she leaves. These are not the chores she’s contracted to do, but she throws them in if she has free time.

Hmm, I wonder if she knows about Microfiber Towels. These would definitely help her in her cleaning.

With microfiber towels, you won’t need any detergents or chemical products. All you need is water! It’s called green cleaning because it’s environmentally friendly. I’m a big supporter of green products.

You can use it to clean your house windows or your car windscreen and it won’t leave streaks and smudges. It’s great for polishing and buffing too.

Sounds like the perfect tool for my neighbor. I should go ask her if she’s interested, and maybe help her place her order online. It’s the least I can do since she’s always cooking my favorite dishes and bringing them over. She really has helped me out with more than a few lunches and I should return the favor.
