smelling like roses
I haven’t gone shopping for perfume in a long time. But recently while surfing on the net, I came across a Perfume & Cologne website.
My first impression of the site is that the color scheme is very catchy. I love how the shades of purple blend with the cyan.
I was a little disoriented by the page being left-justified and would personally have preferred the page centralized.
Navigation-wise, it’s very well organized and user-friendly. I can either choose from the product categories in the top navigation bar, or by featured brands or by letter of the alphabet on the sidebar.
If I were choosing a gift, I’d head straight for the best seller list. This feature is a godsend to those who are clueless about what’s a good brand to buy.
The featured items section is a good idea but somewhat distracting. It’s hard to decide from 16 items. But if two or three items were featured a week, it would help the customer focus better and decide more easily.
Overall, I love the design of this site. It has a warm, fragrant ambience which beckons me to return. Go check them out yourself. I’m sure you’ll come out smelling like roses
