friendly tips from a workout fanatic

I work out almost every day but I can’t seem to get enough  . I thought since I’m so passionate about it that I should share some of my personal tips with you:

  1. Always warm up before you start. Do your stretches to loosen up your muscles before you send them off to work. It’s very important that you do this to avoid injuring yourself.
  2. Drink before and after your workout. Take occasional sips between workouts or when you’re feeling beat. Water fills you up and gives you an energy boost. Think of it this way: if your gas tank is empty, your car won’t run. So fill ‘er up.
  3. One very important thing to remember though is to sip, not guzzle your water, especially in between and immediately after workouts. When your engine is running full steam, it may be damaging to splash a full pail of cool water on it. Go easy on the speed and volume of your water intake.
  4. Don’t over-exercise. Listen to your body and stop when it tells you to, otherwise you risk injuring yourself.
  5. Start light and increase the intensity of your workouts as you go along. It’s not a competition or a race, so work at your own pace.
