I’ve been raiding the fridge every few hours for the watermelon I bought over the weekend. You don’t know how good a piece of watermelon feels on a day when it’s 90 degrees outside and probably 109 inside.

Why don’t I just leave the cut watermelon out on the table instead? Now the watermelon is supposed to be a cooling fruit. Cut watermelon that’s left outside absorbs the heat of the environment and has less of a cooling effect.
