altruistic dolphin

I was really touched when I read this story on CNN about a bottleneck dolphin that saved a mother whale and her calf from being stranded on a beach. I hate to say this but it’s obvious Moko, a dolphin, has more compassion that some humans. I’m thinking, of course, of the man who sat there laughing at me when I fell down recently.
Just when hope seemed to be running out for the humpback whales, Moko flew in from out of the blue and guided the mother and child through a channel back to safety in the deep ocean. What’s even more incredible is that she was helping an animal of another species, not her own. Truly a heartwarming story.
