mall nostalgia

I went downtown to pay some bills and decided to stop by a shopping mall that I used to frequent many years ago. It must’ve been eons since I went to that part of the city because I hardly recognize the roads any more. The landscape is so different now I missed a few turns and had to circle back.
When I got to the mall, nostalgia swept over me. There are a few stores that I recognized instantly, and there are even more that have sprung up all over the mall. As I walked around, memories flashed across my mind of all the happy Saturday afternoons I used to spend there shopping with my girl friends. I wonder where they are now *sigh*.
