Mother’s Day is this weekend, believe it or not? It’s really snuck up on me this year. I’m not really into celebrating Mother’s Day. If you ask me, it’s become entirely too commercialized.
The restaurants are all out to fleece people with their Mother’s Day dinners and they’re too crowded too. So I’d much rather be just hanging out at home with my kids and watching a movie maybe.
But every year, there’s bound to be some news in the papers about how someone surprising his or her mother or wife with a roomful of wholesale flowers. I enjoy reading about it and thinking wow, what a lucky woman but if you’re going to get me flowers, a single stalk of tulip would be enough
