drooling over Swiss watches
I know it’s a couple of days after Mother’s Day but if I’d found this website sooner, I might’ve been tempted to buy myself a baume mercier watch if the price is right.
Well, for one thing, Swiss watches aren’t called timepieces for nothing. I may have been under my shell too long because I haven’t heard of Baume and Mercier before this.
But they do have an interesting history. Back in 1830, two brothers, Louis Victor Baume and Pierre Joseph Celestin Baume, started a business who grew and became so successful that it went on for a couple of generations.
In 1918, Louis Victor’s grandson, William Baume, was running it and was joined by a new business partner, Paul Mercier, hence the name Baume and Mercier.
I visited their site at ViaLuxe.com where they have watch collections for both men and women. They have so many designs that if I really had to choose one, I’d have a hard time deciding.
I think that’s the thing with us women sometimes. We see one watch and when we look at another one, we think, wow, this one’s nice too. And then pretty soon, they’re all nice in their own way and we want them all
