Few city folks wear real gold jewelry these days simply because it’s rather unsafe to be flashing your affluence and sending out the wrong message. Personally, I prefer to wear costume jewelry which is so much more trendy 
.
While people may be opposed to wearing real gold as an accessory, who knows they may well be investing in precious metals such as silver and gold? It can be risky if you don’t know what you’re doing.
