Gimme A Break

It’s funny that people still read the news. I met a lady at the grocery checkout over the weekend who said rain or shine, she must watch the 8 o’clock news! Somehow I fail to share her enthusiasm.

It’s not like there’s been any good news lately. I mean, don’t people get bored reading about the price of gas going up and the 1001 repercussions it’s going to have on the way we live?

Gimme a break! I’m really in no mood to read the news, let alone pay good money for a newspaper which is 90% ads.
