driving in the driving rain

I went to pick up my son from college a while ago and it was storming like crazy. By the time I got on the highway, the sky was a dark grey, well, okay everything was a dark grey in the driving rain.
I couldn’t see a thing as I was driving. Scary, huh? I was basically using the back lights of other cars to guide me down the highway. Trouble is some idiot drivers don’t switch on their lights and it’s so dangerous because I can’t see them at all!!
At one point, everyone started slowing down. Only when I got closer did I notice the whole stretch of highway, all 3 lanes, were flooded. Yikes! Luckily my minivan is high and I sorta sailed through it. But it was still scary!
