perfect vision may not be so far away
When my friend told me she’d had lasik done to correct her eyesight, my first reaction was wow, no glasses, no contact lenses, that must be heaven.
She’s been raving about it ever since. I’d love to have it done but have to admit I’ve been procrastinating on getting it done because I’m too chicken. Too many questions in my mind about whether it’s safe or not, you know, the usual worries.
I was really surprised though when I came across some LASIK information about NASA and the US Military encouraging their personnel to undergo corrective lasik. That sure says something about the safety and effectiveness of the procedure.
Unlike the old procedure, Modern Lasik, or what’s commonly known as iLasik, uses two lasers instead of one. This new LASIK technology basically removes the need for a previously handheld blade to create the corneal flap. In other words, there’s less margin for error because there is less human intervention.
The military personnel who’ve had the iLasik done are enjoying 20/20 vision. These are the people who really need good eye vision because of the nature of the work.
Hmm, maybe my worries are unfounded, maybe I should reconsider getting my eyesight corrected.

There’s also the great outdoors and nature parks to explore, and miniature golf courses (yes, I love mini golf).
