Aargh, Mondays! It’s busy days again! Why can’t every day be a weekend?

Oh well, maybe I shouldn’t complain, I did have a wonderfully long weekend that seemed to stretch for much longer than ever and it’s not like I have to join the slaves’ commute to work. Isn’t it great?!

I always thought time flies when you’re having fun. Not entirely true. Sometimes it seems to just go on and on and on… till you’re all dizzy! I admit that’s a fairly new feeling but hey, it’s all good!

I’m up to my eyeballs in work. I’m taking a five minute break to just pop in here and rant up a post. Nah, I’m not complaining… I like to keep busy and it so happens a work at home mom’s job is never done and there are never enough hours in a day. If only there were a time machine which can crank up extra hours if we need them. Wouldn’t that be nice?

We got up late yesterday and decided it’d be easier if we just went out for brunch so I didn’t have to cook lunch. Sundays are such lazy days I don’t feel like messing around in the kitchen. I think you can pretty much relate to that, eh? Compared to Sundays, weekdays are such a drag. Why can’t we have two Saturdays and two Sundays a week ?

I love shopping for my kids, with my kids. But when it comes to shopping for myself, it’s hard to do it when my kids are around. Not that they rush me or anything, it’s just that I feel like I have to make quick decisions before they lose patience and start wandering off.

I’m wondering what it would be like to go on a Cancun All Inclusive Adults Only trip where I’ll have the freedom to savor good food and shopping all day long at the Riviera Maya without a care in the world. Many of my friends have done it – left their kids with family and just zoomed off to a distant land.

I don’t think I could do it though. I just know I’d be missing my kids toto much and wondering how they’re doing without me. Maybe I should learn to let go just a little, huh?

I can smell a weekend coming up and I can’t wait. It’s been too busy around here, hence the long silence. I haven’t even had time to blog much. Plus of course, the fact that we’re having these freaky storms and I’ve had to turn my modem off so it won’t get fried .

I love blogging and there’s nothing that can keep me away for too long. But I’m a mom first and that means I often have a bunch of family stuff to attend to before I can even get to sit down at my computer. So here I am !

It’s a beautiful morning and I’d planned to meet a girl friend for breakfast. As it turned out, my daughter is not feeling well and won’t be going to school. So I have to stay home with her to make sure everything’s okay.

It so happens my girl friend too is feeling under the weather and needed to catch up with some sleep since she didn’t get much last night. So I guess it all worked out .
