do the dofollow

Okay, this is the fun thing I’m doing right now. My blog buddy, Marisa has tagged me to join the D-list.

The D-list is a group of bloggers who’ve added dofollow to their blogs so that each time you go leave a comment on their blog, you get a link back to your site.

How cool is that! Want to join the D-listers? Simple install the DoFollow plugin on your WordPress blog and activate it.

All these links you’re generating will have the search engines liking you more which is good news for your search enging ranking.

So stop by any time and post a thoughtful comment and be assured of a link back to your site. Spammers, don’t bother, you’ll be caught in the Akismet net. Savvy?

1. Write a short paragraph at the beginning of your post and link back to the blog that put you on the list in the paragraph. This isn’t a suggestion. You need to break up the duplicate content. Someone took the time to add you so the least you can do is give them an extra link back.

2. Copy the list of originals below COMPLETELY and add it to your blog. If you would like a different keyword for your blog then change it when you do your post and it should pass to most blogs with that keyword.

3. Take the adds from the blog that added you and place them in the “Originals” list.

4. Add at least 1 new blog that you KNOW us using the DO FOLLOW plugin to the list in the “My Adds” section. (Add no more than 5!) Let the people you’ve added know, so that they can keep the list going!

where’s mommy’s prozac?

The Where’s Mommy’s Prozac? is a mommy blog that’s pretty similar to this blog in many ways.

I mean, which mom isn’t ’sweatin’ the small stuff one day at a time’ half the time? It pretty much goes with the territory.

And yes, lately I’ve had my share of fancy daydreams about my dream house too. It’s got to be cozy, not too big though so there’ll be less cleaning to do.

It’s got to have an upstairs bay window that overlooks a flowering lawn. And lots of storage space to hide all the stuff that’s too cute to throw away LOL.

Okay, enough for now, I’d best get back to work.

no average mom

It’s true nothing about motherhood is average, says No Average Mom on her blog.

You know, it’s funny how true that is for all moms no matter where in the world they are. I really enjoy reading her blog because there’s so much I can relate to, being a mom myself.

No Average Mom also has another blog at Candid Quips where she shares her views of life - the good, the bad, the ugly, even the wierd. Pretty interesting reading for a quiet afternoon. If you’re at a loose end, go visit her, you won’t be disappointed.

the shopping duck

I’m a self-confessed coupon buff. Yep, never could pass up on a great deal. If there’s a good deal, you know I’ll be there and yapping about it too (LOL) to everyone I meet.

The Shopping Duck looks like an interesting up and coming place for great deals. The idea of a duck shopping is what first caught my eye about this site.

Plus the fact there’s a whole section on food deals. With 3 insatiable teen appetites always asking me “what’s there to eat, Mom?”, I can’t help but love a great pig-out deal.

all things tech plus tronics

My postie friend, Jimi, has a great new blog over at JMH Techtronics. Interesting word, Techtronics, I think so too (LOL). Jimi aptly coined this word because on this blog, he talks about all things technology and electronic.

For instance, while I know next to nothing about Playstations and have never been within 2 feet of one, Jimi’s getting close to buying a Playstation 3. So I’m pretty sure he’ll have lots more to talk about in that department, eh, Jimi? Not to mention the Nintendo’s.

ami-chan blogs

Over the past week or so, I decided to bum around the PerPayPost (where I get paid to blog) forums to see what’s happening over there. I’d heard it’s a lively forum so I decided to go see if I could get a bit of the action.

Well, it was overwhelming, to say the least, wading through the huge number of threads. I’d been looking to improve my Google page rank so obviously I headed over to the link exchange section.

Whoa, I’ve never seen such a huge congregation of bloggers in my life. One of the first people I ‘met’ there was Cat. I wanted to do a link exchange but wasn’t quite sure what the practice was with the bloggers there.

I needed to ask someone about link exchanges and Cat seemed like a friendly face, someone who wasn’t going to wave me off as an uninitiated newbie to the boards. And I was right.

I wrote to Cat and she wrote me back a prompt and friendly reply so much so I couldn’t resist going over to her blogs at Ami-chan.net and Ami-the-Cat. Just as I thought, her blogs are well-written and warm, just like I expected Cat to be. I especially enjoyed reading about the things she’s grateful for.

I think the excitement of blogosphere has just opened up a whole new dimension for me. I’ll be back with more about the fellow bloggers I meet along the way. Stay tuned.
